Casa La Siesta is a new luxury country retreat near Spains Costa de La Luz, and its English translation of the House of Sleep (if you don’t speak Spanish) could have you lulled into dreamland in a second. Located just minutes from historic Vejer de la Frontera, Andalucia, Spain, Casa La Siesta is housed in a building that was originally a traditional Spanish finca. It has been restored and extended by British owners Lee and Amelia Thornley who have been careful to only use reclaimed architectural materials, combining wrought iron balustrades, decorative stone arches and red stone flagging from Cordoba. They have preserved all the original features at the same time as utilising sustainable energy technology.

Approximately 6 weeks ago, I revealed that I had created an account for this blog on Twitter. Back then I was highly sceptical about it all but, the more I learn about it, the more I ‘get’ it. For now, I primarily use that Twitter account for directly posting blog posts via Twitterfeedbut, to my amazement, you are still following in your masses. In fact, as I type, the number of followers is currently at 999. So… who’s going to be number 1,000?

Norwegian Cruise Line has released the first images of its new 4,200-passenger Norwegian Epic, the company’s largest and most innovative ship to date. Currently under construction at a French shipyard, the 19-deck vessel will be 1,068 feet long, 133 feet wide when completed in May 2010.

I am just back from a one-week stay with my family at the fabulousRoyal Garden Villassituated on theoutskirts of Adeje, Tenerife. Even before our visit, I knew this place would be special; afterall, you don’t achieve a#1 Tripadvisor status across the entire islandwithout good reason. The property is owned by Don Jos Fernando Cabrera (President of ASHOTEL and Vice President of Tenerife Tourism Corporation) and Doa Maria Lozada (an interior designer and architect) who had already launched two previous resortsunder the umbrella of Grupo Golf Resort.
